Sometimes flying isn't about getting somewhere ... it's just about finding a good reason to go.
On this sunny spring morning, we took off from Pitt Meadows in our small plane and headed west toward Vancouver Island for a quick trip to Patricia Bay. The route took us along the Canada-US border, across the Georgia Strait, and over the beautiful southern Gulf Islands.
After landing at Victoria International Airport, we made the short trip over to the beach - right under the departure end of the runway. With the tide way out, it turned into the perfect playground for our dog Zeus.
This is one of those simple trips that reminds us why we love flying so much.
